What we record

We record how visitors use the site and app, to improve it.

That means which pages are opened, which link or site brought you here, whether you're on a phone or a computer, and actions like making an account, sending a trip request, sharing a shortlist, voting, opening a booking link, or choosing a plan on the pricing page. A test order records only which plan you picked and its price: the test checkout asks for no card, name or email, and nothing is charged. Your browser keeps a random ID so we can tell one visit from the next. Once you have an account, those actions are linked to it.

We never record what you type into a form, your password, payment details, or the names people vote with. That record stays in Vakay's own database. Our host, Cloudflare, also counts visits for us with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't follow you to other sites. We don't use any advertising service, and we report all of it only as counts, never by name.
